Study Room Information

The law library in Charney Hall has nine study rooms which are available to law students for group study. There are three study rooms located on the second floor and six study rooms located on the third floor.

Study rooms 212, 217, 314, 315, 336, 337 can accommodate groups of four students, study room 325 can accommodate up to six students, and study rooms 211 and 338 can accommodate up to eight students. Only study room 338 has conference phone capabilities.

Study rooms are locked and only accessible with an Access card to current law school faculty, staff, and students. All study rooms are equipped with a whiteboard and technology to allow you to connect your laptop or Apple Device.

Instructions on how to reserve a study room

Visit the SCU Room Reservations website.

  • Log in with your SCU Google Apps login info
  • On the top left drop-down menu, choose Charney Hall from the list of campus buildings
  • On the top navigation bar, click on Grid to view the rooms available
  • Select date and click on a time on the grid (white boxes indicate room is available)
  • Enter reservation details and click OK
  • Rooms can be booked for a maximum of 4 hours
  • Rooms can be reserved up to 7 days in advance

On the day of your reservation

  • Before the start of your reservation time, remember to click Start Now on the room's kiosk touchscreen located outside of the study room. This must be done within 10 minutes of your reservation, otherwise your reservation will be forfeited.
  • Use your Access card or mobile credential to unlock the study room. 
  • DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS UNATTENDED IN THE STUDY ROOMS!
